Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
- ½ c unsalted butter, melted
- 1 c all purpose flour
- 2 c sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 c milk
- 4 peeled, pitted and thinly sliced fresh peaches (or use two 29 oz. cans of peaches. Be sure to drain the juice from the peaches.)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Several dashes of ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg (to taste)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Pour melted butter into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Stir in milk, mixing until well combined.
- Pour this batter over the butter, but do not stir them together.
- In a medium sauce pan, combine the peaches, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and remaining cup of sugar and bring them to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
- Pour the peaches over the batter, but do not stir them together.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 – 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm or cold.
