In August of 2017, two new babies were born.  One to my good friend Marguerite (a boy) and the second to my brother (a girl). That’s what inspired me to create personalized mini albums for the new arrivals as Christmas gifts to the families. However, it’s been five years since I have made a mini album from scratch.  Life changes have caused me retire my scrapbook skills for a period of time and place most of my supplies in storage. Fortunately, Liam and Noelle gave me a reason to visit my storage room and pull out materials that I hadn’t looked at in quite a while.  Luckily, I had a brand new baby boy paper pack that had never been touched.  I also had plenty of baby girl stickers and embellishments to work with to create Noelle’s album.

Since I don’t usually have to make mini albums for baby boys, it was the only paper I had to make his album.  I quickly visited Michaels to purchase the stickers and embellishments in order to make it the cutest album ever.

At first, I was worried that I was a bit rusty and wouldn’t be able to make his album as great as the albums that I had created in the past.  However, soon as I got started, I slowly, but surely, got back into the swing of things like I had never stopped. Overall, I think the end result was simply adorable and not bad for my first album in over 5 years.

Noelle’s album was special to me because she is my second niece.  I had created personalized albums for both her older brother and sister and I felt it wouldn’t be right if I failed to make her one as well.  Since Noelle seems to be a sweet spirit, I thought I would make her album out of soft blush pink and gold.  Therefore, while I was at Michaels, I picked up a new paper pack that would enable me to create my vision for her album.

I love how her album turned out. It’s completely different from her sister’s, which is edgier. The color scheme works perfectly and definitely fits her personality. I genuinely enjoyed creating her album and giving her a unique heirloom to look at and treasure for many years to come.
