Coming up with a theme for the month of May was a difficult task to say the least. I wasn’t inspired at all to design my journals until the very last minute. I scoured the internet, Pinterest, and YouTube until I finally found some inspiration. After hours of looking, the retro theme was placed on my heart for the month of May. To be specific, the theme is called Mid Century Modern according to the history books. It actually reminds me of the Jetsons cartoon I use to watch back in the day. I used various retro patterns, drawings, washi tape, markers, pens, and color pencils to create the look in both journals this month. The cat is featured on the front cover for both journals. I decided to name the cat Cosmic Kitty. She may appear in future designs. Keep an eye out for her.
